These benefits are paid by CHOICES, Inc.:

Per Diem Rate
CHOICES. Inc. foster parents receive reimbursement for the care they provide to the foster youth. Per Diem is paid because of the commitment that is required to take in a foster child. Foster parents must be involved in the treatment plans of youth placed in their home. Foster parents not only transport youth, but participate in counseling, educational meetings, therapy appointments, doctors visits and treatment team meetings for youth placed in their homes. Foster parents also are required to complete monthly progress reports for children placed in their home.

Paid Trainings
Foster Parents receive reimbursement for attending on-going trainings throughout the year. On-going training covering various topics that relate to the care and well-being of foster youth is an annual requirement to maintain licensure.

Free Counseling and Crisis Intervention including:
Marital Counseling
Drug and Alcohol Counseling
Financial Difficulty Counseling

Liability Insurance
Protection against personal and property damage. Protection against allegations made by a foster youth.

CHOICES Sponsored Activities
Annual activities which may include:
Kings Island, COSI,
Cincinnati Zoo, Aquarium,
Summer Camps
Christmas Party
Foster Parent Banquet
Fall Festival
Camping trips

Licensed foster parents who have not parented a foster youth during the 9 months prior to a CHOICES, Inc. event may not be eligible for the activity or other benefits.
