Angela Studebaker
Foster Care Social Worker
LSW
Hello, my name is Angela Studebaker and I am a foster care social worker for CHOICES, Inc. I have worked for CHOICES for one year and enjoy the people I work with at CHOICES. My caseload is mainly located in Springfield but I also have homes in Huber Heights, Fairborn and Xenia. I enjoy seeing the foster youth achieve successes in their lives; they are a huge reason I stay in this field of social work.I am greatly appreciative of all the hard work my foster parents do for the foster youth in their home. The biggest reward for me is to see the expressions on a foster youth’s face when they realize that I really do care about them and working with them is not just a job to me. My co-workers are a huge support when needed and make coming to work worthwhile.
I was born and raised in Darke County, Ohio and now reside in Miami County, Ohio. I am an only child and still spend time with my parents. I have been married for eighteen years to a wonderful, supportive husband and have two teenage children, a son and a daughter. I graduated in 1987 from Franklin-Monroe High School and went to college for a couple of months. I was extremely homesick, came home, worked in fast food, and was a homemaker until five years ago. I returned to college at Wright State University where I received my Bachelors degree in Social Work. After graduation, I earned my License in Social Work. Returning to school later in life was challenging but I was more focused on my studies. The day I received my diploma from Wright State University was a great day for my family and I!
