Hello, my name is Charlotte Petty and I am a foster care social worker for CHOICES, Inc. I have worked for CHOICES since October 2010 and enjoy the people I work with. It is great to work with a group of people that are so vested in the lives and futures of the youth we are involved with. My caseload is mainly located in Springfield, but I also have homes in Huber Heights and Urbana. I enjoy seeing the foster youth achieve successes in their lives, they are a huge reason I stay in this field of social work. I hold all my foster parents in the highest esteem realizing all the hard work and dedication they have for our youth. The biggest reward for me is to witness the transformation of the youth from the time they are placed in care through the completion of their plan. This is more than a job for me, I feel that working with the youth and the foster parents is the reason I became a social worker.

I have lived in Miami County, Ohio since 1969 when my family moved from Indiana. I graduated in 1982 from Piqua High School and started my adult life. I had worked many different jobs before I decided I needed more then a job, I needed a career that provided me with a meaning. I started my college education at Edison Community Collage and transferred to Wright State University where I graduated from in 2002. Although I started my career later in life I know that everything in my life has led me to CHOICES!
