Chairperson & Acting Treasurer

My name is John H. Board and I am a Commercial Credit Manager for Park National Bank. I came to CHOICES in early 2008 as a Board Member. Currently I serve as Treasurer and dedicate time to Executive, Financial, and Facilities Committees.

Originally from West Virginia, I graduated from the Richard T. Farmer Business School at Miami University in 2002. While there I obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Leadership and Business Management with a minor in Management Information Systems and Applications.

In high school I was involved in community service activities and also a participant in the Appalachian Service Project, which assisted disadvantaged rural families with major home repairs. I also served as a participant in the Russia/West Virginia Partnership for Exchange when I was a sophomore. This opportunity allowed me to spend several weeks in Kaliningrad with a family of a Cosmonaut Space Program Engineer. I began my banking career as a teller and was promoted to Assistant Branch Manager in a little more than one year. I left Retail Banking for Commercial Banking as a Credit Analyst. I came to Park National Bank in February of 2006. I now serve the Dayton office and Park Southwest Affiliate as Commercial Credit Manager.

My hobbies include kayaking, fishing, road trips, poker, and broomball. My wife has an LSW and MSW Degree in Social Work and is currently working to complete her LISW. My mother also had a career in social work.
