Hello. My name is Michelle Wagers and I am a Licensing and Training Social Worker. I have been with CHOICES, Inc. since August 2007 and I have enjoyed every moment of working here. When I started at CHOICES, I was an Independent Living Case Manager and in July of 2010, I switched positions to LTR.  I graduated from Wilmington College in Wilmington, OH with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. I worked for Clinton County Children Services for two years and then became a stay at home mom for the next 6 ½ years.

I live in Dayton with my husband, Wayne and my two beautiful children, Mitchell and McKenna. I love to workout, shop and be with my amazing family.

Working at CHOICES, Inc. has been gratifying because when I go home at night, I know have made a difference in a youth’s life. No matter how small a difference I have made, I know that it will leave an impression on them for the rest of their lives. When youth succeed, I succeed. When youth fail, I fail. Hopefully together we can succeed and learn through our successes and failures. My goal for the youth I work with is to make a difference in their lives so they can pass that difference on to help someone else be successful – just like they have become.

I have enjoyed watching youth go from hungry caterpillars to completely beautiful butterflies
