Nicholette Ontko

Independent Living Specialist

Hello! My name is Nicholette Ontko and I am a part-time Independent Living Specialist. I just finished my undergraduate degree in Social Work from Wright State University, and jumped right into a graduate degree program in Social Work at The University of Cincinnati. My concentration is in School Social Work, and my ultimate goal is to be a high school guidance counselor. In my free time I enjoy traveling, hanging out with my friends, going to concerts, and anything mildly athletic; such as swimming, tennis, and sand-volleyball.

I originally started out at CHOICES, Inc. as an intern in both the Independent Living and Foster Care Departments. After I completed a year long internship, I was hired into the Independent Living Department in May of 2008.

I really enjoy working with the youth in the Independent Living Program and feel that I am a good resource for them as I am gradually becoming Independent on my own. I especially like helping youth apply for colleges and scheduling their classes. I hope that I am a positive influence for them to continue their education!
