I am Shellie K. Stolfo, the Executive Director for CHOICES, Inc. I became the Director in October 2009. Previously, I was the Program Coordinator for our Independent Living and Home-Based Services. I have also filled the roles of Program Coordinator of Direct Services, Foster Care Manager and Referral Worker. I have had the pleasure of working for CHOICES, Inc. since 1998. I briefly left the agency at the end of 2004 and returned the beginning of 2006 to the CHOICES family. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Wright State University in 1992 and from the University of Cincinnati in 2001 with a Masters in Social Work. My concentration for my graduate studies was Social Work Administration. I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW-S). I have over 16 years experience working in the field of Social Work with the majority of that time spent in the child welfare arena.

Personally, I was born and raised in the Dayton area. I have been married since 2002 and have one son. I have many friends and family in the area. I have always been drawn to people and have a great capacity for empathy and understanding the plight of others. I truly enjoy working in the social service field and derive great personal and professional satisfaction from improving upon and finding quality services for the youth and families we at CHOICES serve.
